For medium-sized chimney pipes (six inches), this damper is a very effective and reliable tool. It protects the inside of your wood stove’s chimney by keeping water, leaves, bugs, and other debris from making their way inside during the warmer months. When cold weather hits again and you begin using your stove, simply open the damper as far as necessary for adequate air flow. While you may not handle your chimney’s damper every day, it must be solid and able to last for years in all sorts of weather.
